Job Description
Role : RPA Automation Developer — Implementation Team
Location: Hyderabad (on-site/hybrid)
Experience: 1+ years
Reports to: Implementation/Delivery Lead
About AutomatR :
AutomatR is a unified AI orchestration and enterprise automation platform combining
RPA/Workflow automation, AI Agents, Document Extraction, and Enterprise Search. Our
Implementation team is the group that actually sits with customers, understands their
processes, and builds the automations that go live — using both our drag-and-drop RPA
canvas and our Natural Language Builder (NLB), which lets you describe automation intent
in plain language and have it compiled into a working, deterministic workflow.
The Role :
We're hiring an Automation Developer to join our Implementation team — the people who
turn a customer's messy real-world process into a working automation. You'll spend your
time close to customers and their processes: mapping out how a task actually happens
today, then building it in AutomatR using our RPA canvas and, increasingly, our Natural
Language Builder.
This isn't a role where you memorize a drag-and-drop tool and repeat the same pattern all
day. Our NLB is designed to make automation building dramatically faster than pure dragand-drop — but it only works well in the hands of someone who thinks logically and
precisely about process flow. You need to be able to describe a process correctly, in the right
sequence, with the right conditions and exceptions accounted for — the same discipline
good automation requires regardless of which tool builds it.
What You'll Do :
- Work directly with customers (or internal stakeholders relaying customer requirements) to understand a business process end-to-end — steps, decision points, exceptions, systems touched
- Build automations using AutomatR's drag-and-drop RPA canvas for process steps that need it
- Build automations using our Natural Language Builder — translating a process into clear, logically sequenced natural-language instructions the NLB can compile correctly
- Test automations functionally against real scenarios, including edge cases andexception paths, before handoff
- Debug and fix automations when something breaks in a customer environment
- Document what was built, clearly enough that another team member (or the customer) can understand the logic later
- Flag process ambiguities or gaps back to the customer/stakeholder rather than guessing and building it wrong
- Work alongside engineering when a customer's automation needs something beyond and what the platform currently supports out of the box
WhatWe're Looking For :
- Strong logical/procedural thinking — comfortable breaking a real-world process into clear steps, conditions, loops, and exception paths. This matters more than any specific tool experience.
- Some hands-on exposure to RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, AutomatR, or similar) — or a strong enough logic/coding foundation that you can pick up a drag-and-drop canvas quickly
- Comfortable writing precise, unambiguous instructions — whether that's a workflow
- step, a natural-language automation prompt, or documentation. Precision matters more than verbosity.
- Detail-oriented and systematic in testing — you notice the exception case others miss Comfortable working directly with customers or stakeholders to extract process
- requirements — asking the right clarifying questions rather than assuming Basic understanding of how software systems interact (APIs, file systems,
- web/desktop applications) — you don't need to be a developer, but you shouldn't be
- intimidated by technical context.
Nice to Have (not required):
- Prior experience with any RPA platform, even at a basic/coursework level
- Experience building AI Agents using a no-code/low-code builder (e.g., n8n, ZapierAI,
- Make, or similar) — a strong plus, as we're expanding automations to include agentic AI capability
- Exposure to scripting (Python, VBA, JavaScript) — useful but not a requirement
- Experience in a customer-facing implementation, support, or solutions role
- Familiarity with business process mapping (flowcharts, BPMN, or similar)
How You'll Be Evaluated in the Interview :
Expect a logic exercise: we'll describe a moderately complex business process out loud
(with a few deliberate ambiguities and exception cases baked in) and ask you to map it out
step by step — decision points, exceptions, and all — the way you would before building it,
whether by canvas or by NLB.
