Rotating and Package Equipment Engineering

Purpose & Scope of Position

The Project Engineer (PE) will be part of an engineering stream providing engineering services to large and small projects. The PE provides support to the Project Manager (PM) and Engineering Manager (EM) and is responsible for supervising a team of working engineer and designers. The PE provides leadership and assists in the resolution of all technical issues related to the discipline.

Experience

10+ years of experience in relevant design discipline Experience in engineering and package coordination

Qualification

Postgraduate or graduate in an engineering discipline Registration as a professional engineer with the governing authority (preferable)

Position Description: Rotating and Package Equipment Engineering

Designation: Based on experience and capabilities

Location: Airoli, Navi Mumbai

Reporting to: Mechanical DL

Age: 22+

Educational Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 4 to 20 years in Rotating and Package equipment such as Compressors, pumps, Blowers, fans, Agitators, Filtration system, Vacuum system, cooling tower, Boiler, etc., required for Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Fertilizer industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Design Basis for Rotating and Package equipment
• Preparation of Mechanical Data sheets for Rotating and Package equipment
• Preparation of specifications for Rotating and Package equipment
• Preparation of RFQ/MR for Rotating and Package equipment
• Technical Bid analysis of Rotating and Package equipment
• Vendor drawing review of Rotating and Package equipment
• Interaction with clients
• Coordination with other disciplines
• Guiding and training team members (for senior roles)
• Exposure to Project Engineering, including field experience, sequence of work, and resolving bottlenecks (for senior roles)
• Leading a group of engineers on multiple projects (for senior roles)

Key Skills Required:

• Good understanding of API & ASME Codes related to rotating equipment such as API 610, API 682, API 612, API 614, API 617, API 673, API 675, API 676, API 670, ASME B73.1, ASME B73.2, and ISO 5199
• Experience in oil & gas and petrochemical projects
• Attitude to learn and work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Managerial skills to handle a group of working engineers (for senior roles)
