Position: Project Rotary Engineer
Location: Corporate Office, Vadodara
Experience: 5-8 years of relevant experience
Role Objective
The Rotary Equipment Engineer will be responsible for the design, engineering, specification, selection, and approval of rotary equipment and related packages. The role involves providing technical support for procurement, vendor coordination, documentation review, inspection, testing, installation, and commissioning of rotary equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
- Review and approve specifications, datasheets, drawings, and engineering documentation for rotary equipment and packages.
- Develop and validate design bases and technical design criteria for projects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable API, ASME, ISO, and other relevant industry standards.
Procurement & Vendor Coordination
- Provide technical assistance during procurement activities, including Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) review and participation in pre-bid meetings.
- Review and approve post-order vendor documents as per Vendor Data Requirements (VDR).
- Collaborate with EPCM / DEC consultants for engineering queries and documentation flow.
Inspection, Testing & Commissioning
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), inspection, and testing during equipment manufacturing.
- Participate in FAT / SAT activities and ensure compliance with approved specifications.
- Provide technical support during equipment installation, commissioning, and final handover.
Cross-functional Coordination
- Work closely with project management, civil, instrumentation, electrical, operations, maintenance, and procurement teams.
- Coordinate with vendors for engineering documentation, inspection, testing, and compliance activities.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of pumps, compressors, blowers, and HVAC equipment.
- Hands-on experience in installation and commissioning of rotary equipment.
- Familiarity with API, ASME, ISO, and other applicable codes and standards.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good planning, execution, and problem-solving capabilities.
