To lead MEP design for the Middle East Rail/Buildings industry.
To carryout multi coordination and integrate the designs considering buildability.
Integrate and guide a team of Design Engineers who undertake electrical design work for a Rail environment/ building for the UK and Middle East market.
Understanding the scope of project, prepare man hour estimate, Technical Queries, RFIs and Change orders while working on projects.
Experience in carrying out Design Risk Assessments and clear understanding on CDM requirements. Undertake design of LV Distribution, Earthing & Bonding, Lighting, Cable management system designs.
Prepare Survey requirements and analyze the existing installation from survey reports/ photos etc.
Carryout self-check and verify that designs adhere to standards.
Utilize MicroStation/AutoCAD/Revit, Trimble Pro Design, ETAP, Electrical OM and Microsoft Office suites for carrying out project tasks.
Mandatory Requirements:
Degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering with 10+years of experience.
Appropriate UK Rail/buildings OR Middle east Rail / Buildings experience in a technical design environment .
Knowledge and experience of the use of BS7671, IEC,BS, NFPA and Network rail standards.
Shall have experience in authoring design reports, hazard logs, design logs, BOQs, RFI, TQs etc Appropriate experience in reviewing the designs developed in AutoCAD/Revit/ MicroStation. Sound working knowledge of MicroStation /MEP Revit and experience to produce/ check/ review the designs and multi-disciplinary clashes based on project demands.
Working knowledge of Amtech (Trimble) Prodesign package, Electrical OM/ ETAP and Dialux / Dialux Evo lighting design packages would be an advantage.
Shall be a competent user of IT tools in particular Word, Excel and Outlook.
Good command of the English Language and an effective communicator both written and oral.
Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations and attending meetings with clients is essential. Desirable Requirements:
Appropriate experience working in P wise.
Experience in Points heating, Railway station buildings/platforms, Depot's, Level crossing lighting, Junction lighting, Walkway lighting, etc. .
Worked as design lead/ CRE/ deputy CRE in the Projects Chartership from IET Contribution towards digital platform Willing to learn new tools as per the project's requirement and be aware of updates in BIM world.
