Role Description This full-time Rockwell Automation Engineer role is a hybrid position based in Delhi, India, with flexibility for some work from home. The role involves designing, configuring, and maintaining Rockwell automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA solutions for industrial and manufacturing environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing control logic, troubleshooting automation issues, performing system testing and commissioning, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions with existing infrastructure. The engineer will also create technical documentation, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with safety, security, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Rockwell Automation platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley PLCs, ControlLogix, CompactLogix, FactoryTalk, PanelView) and industrial control systems.
- Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI/SCADA configuration, and industrial communication protocols (such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
- Knowledge of automation engineering principles, manufacturing process control, and integration with IT and cyber security best practices.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications, and translate them into robust automation solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and a focus on reliability and safety.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
- Willingness to occasionally travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, and support; prior experience in industrial or manufacturing sectors is an advantage.
