Role Overview:

This role focuses on shaping how embodied robotics data is collected, structured, and utilized to advance AI training and perception systems. The position involves collaborating with top-tier research teams to design data formats, collection methods, and evaluation frameworks that power the next generation of robotic learning. The work directly influences how AI models are trained and deployed across industries, from healthcare to engineering, by ensuring high-quality, scalable, and diverse training datasets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and standardize robotics data formats, schemas, and benchmarks for consistent data representation.

• Design and implement innovative data collection methods, including human demonstrations, teleoperation, and multi-sensor integration.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align robotics data pipelines with model training requirements.

• Evaluate datasets for diversity, scalability, and impact to ensure high-quality contributions to AI systems.

• Prototype experiments and tools for efficient data gathering, leveraging best practices from leading robotics labs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2–5+ years of experience in robotics R&D, data engineering, or applied research with a focus on data pipelines and multimodal schemas.

• Strong grasp of robotics data formats (e.g., RGB-D, IMU, pose, language) and their role in perception and control systems.

• Hands-on experience with robot perception, control algorithms, or data-driven learning methods in a research or industry setting.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines, including engineering, AI research, and data science.

• Degree in robotics, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
