Role Summary

The Specialist, IT Application Solutions - Automation & Digital Applications is a hands-on individual contributor responsible for the design, development, enhancement, and support of enterprise automation and digital application solutions. The role focuses on building and supporting applications and automations using approved platforms and technologies, ensuring operational stability, adherence to standards, and effective collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Enhancement

. Design, develop, enhance, and maintain automation and application solutions using enterprise-approved platforms (Blue Prism)

. Develop and optimize RPA workflows, application components, and reusable modules

. Support and enhance legacy automations (VB scripts, Excel macros)

. Build and maintain application logic using Python, SQL, and modern UI technologies such as React JS

. Support enhancement requests and minor change implementations

. Provide effort estimates, delivery plans, and status updates

. Maintain technical documentation, solution designs, and operational runbooks

Application Support & Operations

. Provide L2 / L3 support for production applications and automation solutions

. Handle ServiceNow incidents, service requests, and change requests (CRs)

. Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes

. Monitor executions and resolve failures following SOPs

. Coordinate with infrastructure, security, and platform teams

Data, Analytics & Reporting Support

. Develop and support data queries using SQL and Azure SQL Server

. Support reporting and visualization using Power BI

. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance

Cloud, DevOps & Platform Integration

. Work with Microsoft Azure infrastructure components

. Provision and manage BOT VMs

. Support integrations leveraging Azure OpenAI APIs

. Support CI/CD and release activities using Azure DevOps

. Ensure alignment with Azure architecture and security standards

Governance, Security & Compliance

. Ensure compliance with security, audit, and governance standards

. Follow approved coding and access control practices

. Participate in audits and remediation activities

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

. Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and IT teams

. Provide technical inputs and effort estimates

. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required Experience & Skills

Core Experience

. 5-8 years of overall IT experience

. 3-5 years in hands-on application development, automation, or support roles

. Experience supporting applications in a global enterprise environment

Must-Have Technical Skills

. Python, SQL, React JS

. RPA platforms (Blue Prism or equivalent)

. Azure SQL Server

. Power BI

. Microsoft Azure infrastructure

. Azure DevOps - build and release management

. Azure OpenAI APIs

. ServiceNow - incidents, problems, changes

Behavioral & Professional Competencies

. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

. Clear written and oral communication skills

. Ability to work independently and collaboratively

. Flexibility to support global teams

Education

. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience
