About the Role
We are looking for a Robotics Perception Engineer (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on robotic perception, computer vision, sensor fusion, and autonomous systems
.In this role, you will work with AI-generated outputs related to image processing, object detection, SLAM, LiDAR, camera systems, depth estimation, and sensor-based environmental understanding, helping improve how AI models interpret and reason about real-world robotic perception challenges
You will collaborate with global AI and engineering teams to assess the technical accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of AI-generated perception solutions. Your contributions will directly enhance AI systems used for robotics automation, autonomous navigation, and intelligent machine perception.
Responsibilities
- Create deliverables addressing common requests within your professional domain, including perception workflows, sensor integration strategies, and computer vision pipelines.
- Annotate and evaluate AI-generated responses related to robotic perception, computer vision, and autonomous systems.
- Review peer-developed deliverables to enhance AI research quality and consistency.
- Diagnose and solve real-world perception and sensor-processing challenges to improve AI reasoning capabilitiesAssess AI outputs for correctness, scalability, environmental awareness, and operational reliability.
- Identify bugs, incorrect assumptions, inefficient implementations, or sensor interpretation issues in AI-generated solutions and provide structured feedback
- Contribute domain expertise to improve AI models focused on robotic perception, intelligent sensing, and autonomous technologies.
Requirements
- Background in Robotics, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field
- Strong understanding of robotic perception systems, computer vision, and sensor fusion techniques
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python orC++
- Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System), OpenCV, LiDAR systems, SLAM, and robotics simulation tools is preferred
- Experience with deep learning, object detection, image processing, or autonomous navigation systems is a plus
- Ability to critically evaluate perception architectures, sensor workflows, and engineering solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
