Robot Programmer

Role Description The Robot Programmer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hosur. The role involves programming, configuring, and testing industrial robots for various automation projects, including production lines and specialized applications. Day-to-day tasks include developing and optimizing robot programs, integrating robots with PLCs and other control systems, troubleshooting issues on the shop floor, and ensuring safe and efficient operation. The Robot Programmer will collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers, participate in installation and commissioning activities, and prepare technical documentation and reports. The role also includes supporting maintenance teams, providing training on robot usage, and continuously improving automation processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with industrial robots (e.g., ABB, FANUC or similar), including programming and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of PLCs, industrial communication protocols, and basic electrical/mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety in an industrial environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with readiness to work on-site in Hosur.
