Description
We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Bolt v2 team - the group responsible for designing and building the next-generation architecture of Roadcast's logistics platform.
You'll work closely with our CTO, Technical Product Manager, and Frontend & Mobile pods to create robust, scalable services that power real-time logistics intelligence.
This role is ideal for an experienced backend developer who understands distributed systems deeply but also appreciates how front-end performance and product experience depend on great APIs and architecture.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Golang (and occasionally Python)
- Contribute to Bolt v2's microservices architecture, ensuring performance, security, and maintainability
- Collaborate closely with Frontend, Mobile, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery
- Take ownership of key backend modules from design to deployment and monitoring
- Integrate internal and third-party APIs to extend product capabilities
- Write clean, modular, and well-documented code with strong unit and integration test coverage
- Drive performance tuning, load optimization, and database query efficiency
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning
- Work with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud deployments (AWS/GCP)
- Contribute to internal tooling, monitoring systems, and automation pipelines
- Bring a full-stack mindset occasionally working with frontend codebases (Angular/React) for better end-to-end understanding
What We're Looking For
- 4- 6 years of experience in backend development, ideally in SaaS or high-traffic product environments
- Strong proficiency in Golang (primary stack) and good working knowledge of Python
- Deep understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous processing
- Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, or similar message queues
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to frontend technologies (Angular/React/TypeScript) and ability to collaborate effectively with frontend teams
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and system design skills
- Passion for clean architecture, scalability, and high-performance systems
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
