Product Manager - Education Loans The individual will be responsible for product and portfolio management of Education loans including strategy formulation and implementation, product and policy design, designing product promotion and pricing, driving delivery on P&L goals and management of end-to-end product lifecycle. The role is accountable for driving sustainable growth, improving customer experience, and ensuring riskcalibrated growth and portfolio management across domestic and overseas education loan segments. Key Responsibilities Experience & Qualifications - 8-12 years of experience in retail lending / product management (education loans, personal loans, or secured lending preferred).
- Strong understanding of credit policy, risk management, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven experience in managing product P&L and portfolio performance.
- Exposure to digital lending journeys and process reengineering.
- MBA / CA / CFA or equivalent qualification preferred.

1. Product Strategy & Ownership - Own the education loans product suite (domestic & international education loans, secured and unsecured offerings).
- Define product vision, roadmap, and mediumterm growth strategy aligned to overall Consumer Lending objectives.
- Identify new segments for business expansion and design differentiated propositions.
2. Product Design & Policy - Design and periodically review product policies, eligibility norms, loan structures, moratorium, tenure, collateral norms, and pricing.
- Drive policy changes based on portfolio performance, risk indicators, regulatory guidance, and market benchmarks.
- Work closely with Risk, Credit, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure policies are robust and compliant with IBA / regulatory norms.
3. Portfolio & P&L Management .Drive and manage all P&L metrics for Education Loans portfolio including disbursals, book growth, yields, fees, NIM, delinquency, and early risk indicators. - Monitor sourcing mix, channelwise performance, and customer quality trends.
- Drive corrective actions to improve portfolio health and profitability.
4. Process Transformation - Simplify documentation, reduce turnaround time (TAT), and improve straightthrough processing.
- Partner with Technology and Operations teams to implement systemlevel validations and controls.
5. Business Enablement & Partnerships - Enable Sales, Branches, DSAs, and Partners with clear product constructs, training material, and gotomarket support.
- Manage strategic partnerships with universities, key education/education loan consultants.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders i.e., Sales, strategic channels, Credit, Operations, Policy, Digital/IT for seamless day to day operations covering process, risk, channel management aspects as well as on roll-out of new initiatives/changes
.Manage the government sponsored schemes including subsidy management and timely reporting 6. Compliance, Audit & Governance - Ensure product adherence to internal policies, audit observations, and regulatory requirements.
- Own closure of audit issues and proactive identification of process gaps.
- Drive governance forums for policy changes, product launches, and risk reviews.
7. Customer Experience & Market Intelligence - Continuously benchmark products against peers (banks and NBFCs).
- Improve customer experience through transparent communication, simplified structures, and faster decisioning.
- Use customer feedback and NPS insights to refine product offerings.
