The Regulatory Intelligence, Safety and Compliance (RISC) team's charter is to protect Amazon customers from products that are illegal, illegally marketed, unsafe, or otherwise prohibited by Amazon policies. Sr Risk Manager will own implementing proactive controls on a category and work on achieving parity WW. In this role, you will work closely with legal, business teams, selling partner experience and support teams, operational excellence, product, BI and data science/engineering teams to deliver high-impact end to end seller experience solutions for product risk and safety compliance. Think of this role as a non-technical solution architect where you will be given the autonomy to develop a strategy and build effective controls to ensure a high bar on selling experience
trust.
Key job responsibilities
4+ years of program management experience from beginning to end
Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
Experience working with data, and making data driven decisions
Demonstrated experience setting direction and delivering detail-oriented results in environments with frequently shifting priorities
A day in the life
You will work on interesting large scale initiatives with Product, Science, Program and Ops.

- 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of managing food safety and quality in a large-scale retail or manufacturing environment experience
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field
- Knowledge of retail food code and regulations governing grocery retail at local, state, and federal levels
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information
- Experience interacting with local food safety regulators
- 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience with SQL and Excel
