AbouttheRole | |||||||
The role is to support the CRO in driving strategic initiatives in the Risk department. The role is part of the Enterprise Risk Management team and would administratively report to Head, ERM but functionally work directly with CRO. The role involves handling all projects and initiatives that could affect more than one part of the Risk function. It will involve complex tasks like framing the problem statement in a comprehensive manner so that nothing slips between the cracks, then translating into actionables for different teams in Risk and finally driving the actionables to closure and measuring the outcomes. It will also include making presentations for various purposes on these projects and initiatives to the Board / Board committees, ManCom & leadership teams etc. The first immediate project is building a nerve centre for the Bank which will source and consume information from multiple internal and external sources to give warnings to the management on emerging areas of concern. Other areas of focus, where the incumbent will work with functional heads in Risk are (a) leveraging generative AI to simplify the risk function workflows and interfaces with business (b) c) helping put together a comprehensive EWS which will cover not just borrowers but also vendors, liability customers and employees. The role will provide the selected candidate a different perspective of the Bank's business profile and strategy as well as a deeper view of the Risk function itself. Over time, the incumbent can consider moving into functional roles in Risk function or other roles in the Bank as this role will provide the training as well as the exposure needed in complex, leadership positions. | |||||||
