Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Rigger, based in Marmagao. The Rigger will be responsible for safely setting up, inspecting, and operating rigging equipment, as well as assembling lifting structures for heavy loads. Duties include ensuring compliance with safety standards, working collaboratively with team members to execute lifting operations, conducting maintenance on rigging equipment, and troubleshooting any rigging-related issues. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are critical to the role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating rigging equipment and assembling lifting gear
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices for heavy lifting and rigging operations
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings or rigging blueprints
- Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining rigging tools and equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and communication abilities
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Certification in rigging or related field is highly desirable
- Familiarity with marine or offshore environments is an added advantage
