Description
We are seeking an experienced Rigger Foreman to lead our rigging operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in rigging, proven leadership capabilities, and a commitment to safety. This role involves overseeing the rigging crew, planning operations, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise rigging crews in lifting, moving, and positioning heavy loads safely and efficiently.
- Plan and coordinate rigging operations, including determining the best methods and equipment to use for specific tasks.
- Conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to rigging crew members, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Inspect rigging equipment and tools for proper functioning and maintenance.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of rigging activities and equipment usage.
- Collaborate with project managers and other teams to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in rigging operations, with a strong understanding of rigging techniques and safety protocols.
- Valid Rigger certification and relevant safety training (e.g., OSHA).
- Proficient in operating rigging equipment such as cranes, hoists, and slings.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and project stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
