Role Title: Regional Head - Gold Loan
Location: Hyderabad
Role Purpose:
To drive growth, profitability, and portfolio quality of the Gold Loan business across the assigned region by leading sales, operations, and risk management while ensuring regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Growth & Sales Management
- Drive gold loan portfolio growth across branches in the region
- Achieve disbursement, revenue, and market share targets
- Identify new markets and expansion opportunities
- Monitor branch-wise performance and implement corrective actions
- Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and manage Area Managers, Branch Managers, and frontline teams
- Drive productivity, performance culture, and accountability
- Conduct regular reviews, training, and capability development
- Ensure optimal manpower planning and utilization
- Portfolio Quality & Risk Management
- Maintain healthy portfolio quality with strong focus on NPA control
- Ensure adherence to credit policies, valuation practices, and audit requirements
- Monitor delinquency trends and implement recovery strategies
- Strengthen fraud prevention and risk mitigation processes
- Operations & Compliance
- Ensure smooth branch operations with adherence to SOPs
- Drive process efficiency, turnaround time (TAT), and service delivery
- Maintain compliance with RBI guidelines and internal policies
- Ensure audit closure and zero critical observations
- Customer Experience & Market Penetration
- Enhance customer acquisition and retention strategies
- Build strong relationships with key customers and local influencers
- Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve escalations
- Drive brand visibility and regional marketing initiatives
- Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with credit, risk, operations, HR, and product teams
- Provide market feedback for product and policy improvements
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategy
Key Requirements:
- Experience: 10-15 years in BFSI with strong exposure to Gold Loan / Secured Lending
- Minimum 3-5 years in a leadership role managing multiple locations
- Strong understanding of gold valuation, branch operations, and compliance
- Proven track record in driving sales and managing large teams
- Good analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
