Description
We are seeking a dedicated End-to-End Functional Tester with deep knowledge of e-commerce systems and customer workflows.
This role is crucial for ensuring the functional accuracy and overall quality of our digital platform, from browsing to final delivery.
The ideal candidate possesses a meticulous functional testing mindset, ensuring every release meets business requirements, performs optimally, and delivers a flawless, intuitive customer experience.
Core Responsibilities
End-to-End Validation
Complete Journey Testing
- Execute full end-to-end functional testing across all critical e-commerce modules : browsing, product search, shopping cart management, seamless checkout, secure payments, and reliable order tracking.
System Integration Testing
- Validate complex integrations with crucial external systems like ERP, CRM, Payment Gateways, and Logistics tools to ensure data flow integrity across the ecosystem.
Acceptance Testing
- Plan and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions with business stakeholders, verifying functionality against real-world use cases before go-live.
Test Artifacts
- Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and regression suites to ensure consistent platform quality.
Defect Lifecycle
- Identify, log clearly, and track defects, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely verification and resolution.
Release Support
- Actively participate in release validation, smoke testing, and final quality checks.
Business Analysis & Quality Mapping
- Translate complex business requirements (BRDs/FSDs) and high-level workflows into detailed,
testable functional specifications.
Coverage & Personas
- Ensure comprehensive functional coverage across all diverse customer journeys and user personas.
Collaboration
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, demos, retrospectives) to ensure testing activities are fully aligned with development sprints and quality goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2 - 4 years of hands-on functional testing or Quality Assurance (QA) experience, with a required background in e-commerce platforms or online retail systems.
Platform Expertise
- Hands-on experience with major e-commerce technologies : Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, WooCommerce, Magento, or robust custom-built solutions.
Technical Acumen
- Strong knowledge of API testing (Postman, etc.) and robust data validation techniques across integrated systems.
Documentation
- Proven ability to create, manage, and utilise test cases, BRDs, and UAT documentation.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
Mindset
- Highly analytical, with exceptional attention to detail and a relentless focus on the end-user
