Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Retention Marketer role based in Mumbai. The Retention Marketer will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing lifecycle campaigns across channels such as email, SMS, WhatsApp, and in-app messaging to drive repeat purchases, engagement, and loyalty. Day-to-day work includes segmenting customers, building automated flows, developing promotions and content for existing customers, and closely monitoring cohort performance, churn, and customer lifetime value. The role also involves collaborating with brand, performance marketing, product, and customer support teams to design retention-focused journeys and loyalty initiatives. The Retention Marketer will regularly analyze campaign data, run A/B tests, and transform insights into actionable strategies to improve retention metrics.
Qualifications
- Strong retention and lifecycle marketing skills, including customer segmentation, journey mapping, and automation across channels (email, SMS, WhatsApp, push).
- Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms, along with proficiency in campaign setup, testing, and performance optimization.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze cohorts, funnels, and key metrics such as repeat rate, churn, and customer lifetime value.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (brand, performance, product, customer support) and translate business goals into retention strategies.
- Clear, concise communication skills and an understanding of brand tone to craft effective retention-focused messaging.
- Previous experience in e-commerce, D2C, or consumer brands is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort working on-site in Mumbai with a fast-paced, experiment-driven team culture.
