Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Retail Store Manager for our Smart Bazaar stores in Chennai, Vellore, and Hosur. This full-time, mid-level opportunity offers the chance to lead daily retail operations, drive business growth, and ensure top-tier customer satisfaction in one of India's most dynamic retail environments.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Expertise in store operations including supervision of all retail activities and performance of staff (Mandatory skill).
  • Extensive experience in sales forecasting, analyzing trends, and setting sales targets to meet or exceed business goals.
  • Proficient in inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and reducing losses due to shrinkage or overstocking.
  • Strong skills in P&L management with the ability to interpret reports, control costs, and maximize store profitability.
  • Familiarity with visual merchandising, creating enticing product displays to enhance the customer in-store experience.
  • Capable of managing POS systems for efficient and accurate billing, returns, and tracking transactions.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service, resolving complaints, and building customer loyalty.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills to lead the team, motivate staff, and drive a collaborative culture.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Oversee complete store operations including staff management, sales performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Forecast sales, create reports, and develop strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets for the store.
  • Manage inventory by ensuring optimal stock availability and maintaining high inventory accuracy at all times.
  • Monitor store profits and losses, controlling operational costs and maximizing overall profitability.
  • Implement attractive visual merchandising in line with company guidelines for promotions and store layout.
  • Supervise cashiering operations, handle POS systems, and ensure adherence to cash management procedures.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, address customer concerns promptly, and foster long-term customer relationships.
  • Recruit, train, and coach store staff, providing ongoing feedback and managing staff schedules for effective team functioning.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and regulatory requirements.
