Job Summary
The Store Manager at A to Z Supermarket is responsible for managing daily store operations and overall performance while ensuring excellent customer service and efficient retail operations. The role focuses on driving sales, controlling costs, leading store staff, and maintaining high standards in service, hygiene, and merchandising. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with strong communication skills and proven experience in supermarket operations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day store operations including opening and closing procedures.
Drive store sales to achieve monthly and annual targets.
Ensure excellent customer service and handle escalated customer complaints.
Train, schedule, and supervise store staff.
Monitor staff performance and ensure productivity and discipline.
Manage inventory including ordering, receiving, stock rotation (FIFO), and replenishment.
Control shrinkage, damages, and loss prevention.
Ensure accurate billing, cash handling, and end-of-day reconciliation.
Monitor sales reports, expenses, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Maintain store cleanliness, hygiene, and visual merchandising standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and safety regulations.
Implement in-store promotions and merchandising as per company guidelines.
Qualifications
Minimum graduate (Bachelor's degree mandatory).
Minimum 5 years of experience in retail management.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in hypermarkets and supermarkets.
Strong leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
Good knowledge of POS systems, inventory control, and retail operations.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
