Job Description

As a Retail Consultant Operations, you will act as a crucial bridge between various internal teams—including risk, credit, product, legal, IT, analytics, and finance—as well as external vendor teams. Your primary objective will be to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of retail credit or co-lending products. This role is pivotal in managing processing, servicing, accounting, reporting, and customer transactions, all while maintaining robust operational controls and effective stakeholder coordination.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, review, and optimize operational workflows for co-lending and retail partnerships.
  • Manage end-to-end credit workflows and ensure seamless partner onboarding, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of credit filters.
  • Coordinate with legal teams and partners to draft, finalize, and execute loan documentation (e.g., sanction letters, agreements) and escrow arrangements.
  • Liaise with internal departments such as Business, Product, Credit, IT, Analytics, and Finance to align operations and resolve exceptions.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and originators for flawless co-lending execution, manage disbursal schedules, and meet Turnaround Times (TATs).
  • Conduct operational assessments, Critical to Quality (CTQ)/Critical to Process (CTP) monitoring, internal audits, risk tracking, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support business continuity planning and assist in policy/Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) refinement.
  • Prepare operations and management reports, ensuring high accuracy in documentation and archival.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong process orientation with a keen eye for detail.
  • Solid understanding of financial products, including retail loans, supply chain finance, and co-lending models.
  • Familiarity with P&L (Profit & Loss), ratio analysis, balance sheet interpretation, and revolving credit lines.
  • Comfortable liaising with legal and technology teams, and adept at managing multi-stakeholder coordination.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, loan management systems (LMS), and general system UAT.
  • Must Have: Experience in NBFCs, banks, fintechs, or microfinance, specifically in retail lending, trade finance, supply chain financing, co-lending, or loan operations.
