About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Retail Consulting professional to drive retail advisory, market research, feasibility studies, leasing strategies, and business development for retail real estate projects. The role involves working closely with developers, investors, retailers, and internal leasing teams to deliver strategic consulting solutions for shopping malls, mixed-use developments, high streets, and retail portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Advisory & Consulting
- Conduct retail market assessments and feasibility studies for new and existing retail developments.
- Develop retail positioning, tenant mix strategies, and merchandising plans.
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor performance.
- Prepare location assessment and catchment analysis reports.
- Advise clients on retail development concepts, project viability, and growth opportunities.
Market Research & Analysis
- Perform primary and secondary market research.
- Track retail supply, demand, rentals, occupancy levels, and retailer expansion trends.
- Prepare detailed market intelligence reports and presentations.
- Develop financial models and project revenue projections.
Client Management
- Build and maintain relationships with developers, investors, landlords, and retailers.
- Present consulting recommendations to senior stakeholders and clients.
- Lead client meetings, workshops, and project discussions.
- Ensure timely delivery of consulting assignments and client satisfaction.
Business Development
- Identify new consulting opportunities within the retail real estate sector.
- Support proposal preparation, pitch presentations, and business acquisition.
- Collaborate with leasing, capital markets, and project management teams to generate cross-selling opportunities.
Project Execution
- Manage multiple consulting assignments simultaneously.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for project delivery.
- Ensure high-quality reports, presentations, and strategic recommendations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- MBA / PGDM in Marketing, Real Estate, Finance, or related field.
- 6-12 years of experience in Retail Consulting, Retail Advisory, Mall Planning, and Research.
- Strong understanding of shopping malls, mixed-use developments, high streets, and retail trends.
- Excellent analytical, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and market research tools.
