Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and service-drivenFloor Supervisorto oversee front-of-house operations at our European bistro. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, excellent communication, and hands-on experience in premium casual or European dining environments. This role ensures smooth service flow, exceptional guest experiences, and effective coordination between the service team and the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
Service & Floor Operations
- Oversee daily floor operations to ensure efficient, high-quality service across all shifts.
- Support the team in maintaining the restaurant's service standards, ambience, and cleanliness.
- Manage table allocations, guest flow, and service sequences.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Team Supervision
- Lead, guide, and motivate front-of-house staff during service.
- Provide on-the-job training, refreshers, and performance feedback.
- Ensure uniforms, grooming standards, and staff readiness for service.
- Step in to support service whenever required.
Guest Relations
- Engage with guests and provide personalised, attentive hospitality.
- Handle guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure regular guests receive consistent, high-quality service.
Coordination & Communication
- Maintain clear communication between the FOH team and kitchen staff.
- Participate in daily briefings and ensure team members understand menu updates, specials, and service notes.
- Work closely with management to ensure smooth shift operations.
Administrative Support
- Assist with stock checks, requisitions, and inventory tracking.
- Help maintain reservation systems and daily operational documentation.
- Support the Manager with training, reporting, and team scheduling when needed.
Requirements
- 12 years of experiencein a supervisory role within a restaurant or premium dining environment.
- 3+ years of overall F&B industry experience, preferably with European or bistro-style concepts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent leadership abilities with a hands-on, team-oriented approach.
- Strong guest service mindset with the ability to remain composed during busy periods.
- Solid understanding of service standards, restaurant operations, and hospitality best practices.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred
- Experience in European, international cuisine, or bistro-style dining.
- Knowledge of wines and European service etiquette.
