It is recognized as a child-friendly, solo traveler–friendly, and elderly-friendly hotel, offering a welcoming and secure environment for diverse guests. With a history that includes hosting Mahatma Gandhi in 1915, the hotel continues to celebrate local craftsmanship, regional cuisine, and responsible tourism. THE HOUSE OF MG is known for its authentic Gujarati hospitality and a warm, home-like atmosphere.

Role Description The Restaurant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel's restaurants. This role includes managing service standards, supervising staff, coordinating reservations, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience that reflects the property's heritage and hospitality values. The Restaurant Manager will monitor food and beverage quality, manage inventory, support menu planning with the culinary team, and ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations. The role also involves handling guest feedback, resolving service issues promptly, training and mentoring team members, and collaborating with other hotel departments to support events and special experiences. The Restaurant Manager will track key performance metrics, support cost control, and contribute to initiatives that enhance guest satisfaction and restaurant reputation.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer-focused mindset, with skills in Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service to ensure outstanding guest experiences.
  • Experience in hiring and leading restaurant teams, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests, team members, and cross-functional colleagues.
  • Solid understanding of Food & Beverage operations, including menu knowledge, service standards, and basic cost control.
  • Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a supervisory role within hospitality or F&B service.
  • Ability to manage multiple outlets (restaurant, banquet, room service, etc.) .
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and compliance with local regulations.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Comfort working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by operations.
  • A graduation in Hotel Management is required, and candidates from IHM will be preferred.
