Job Purpose:
The Resource Person Communications will contribute to the development, editing, and quality assurance of content across the Scholarship program's communication channels. This role requires strong language expertise in at least two languages, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage content workflows while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
The individual will be responsible for maintaining a structured content calendar to ensure timely delivery of communication materials and demonstrating consistent accuracy and quality across multilingual content with minimal errors. The role includes analyzing existing communication materials within the Scholarship program and the Foundation, identifying gaps, patterns, and best practices, and making recommendations to improve content quality and effectiveness for young audiences.
The Resource Person will work across multiple formats and channels to build awareness and engagement, while ensuring tonal consistency and adherence to brand identity. This role requires managing content creation and editing across multiple languages, coordinating with different teams to gather input and manage review timelines, and maintaining quality standards during peak periods.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, multilingual communicator with a strong interest in education and social impact, who combines rigor in language and processes with the ability to create engaging content, manage timelines, and contribute effectively to a collaborative environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Contribute to creation, editing, and proofreading of multilingual content in English and one to two regional languages ensuring accuracy, clarity, and tonal consistency
- Develop communication materials in different formats for various channels to inform, engage, and build awareness among young audiences
- Establish and maintain a structured content calendar to plan, track, and deliver communication materials on schedule
- Conduct research on existing Foundation communications and materials from other institutions or scholarship initiatives to inform content strategy and improve quality
- Contribute to developing systems for translation, proofreading, and quality assurance across all communications
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in communications, Journalism, English, or a related field (preferred)
- Candidates from other disciplines may apply if they demonstrate strong language proficiency and relevant communications experience
- 36 years of relevant experience in content creation, editing, or communications, preferably in the development sector, education, or journalism
- Demonstrated experience working in multiple languages is essential
Technical Skills & Tools:
- Strong written communication in English and at least two regional languages (Hindi, Kannada, Odia, Assamese, Telugu preferred) with ability to write and edit across formats and audiences
- Proficiency in translation, proofreading, and copyediting with ability to identify grammatical, structural, and factual errors across languages
- Experience in managing content calendars and planning material development across channels
- Strong research skills to analyze and synthesize communication materials and identify gaps and best practices
- Working knowledge of content creation for social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter) and websites
- Basic editing skills for posters, leaflets, and other communication collaterals; familiarity with voiceover scripting is an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva or equivalent tools, basic Google Analytics, and translation tools (including AI-based tools or Google Translate)

- Exceptional attention to detail with strong focus on language accuracy, consistency, and quality across formats and languages
- Organized and self-driven, with the ability to independently manage workflows, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines, including during peak periods
- Adaptable communicator, able to adjust tone and style for varied audiences while maintaining a coherent brand voice
- Comfortable working in an in-office environment with 45 hours per week
- Willingness to undertake occasional travel for field visits or events
