The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Resource Manager to lead workforce planning and resource allocation from our India Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Chennai.
This individual will serve as the central point of coordination between Sales, Delivery, Talent Acquisition, HR, and Operations to ensure the right consultants are deployed to the right opportunities at the right time while maximizing utilization and supporting employee growth.
The ideal candidate has experience in an IT services organization where resource planning, utilization management, and consultant deployment are critical business functions.
Key Responsibilities
Resource Planning and Allocation
· Own end‑to‑end resource planning and staffing for all delivery teams across all Infoya projects and practices.
· Allocate and rebalance resources based on project priorities, skills, location, and availability to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
· Run weekly staffing/allocation meetings with Global Head of Delivery to review open demand, assignments, and conflicts.
· Coordinate cross‑geo staffing with all geo-locations to support follow‑the‑sun delivery and peak demand.
· Demand, Forecast, and Bench Management
· Partner with Sales and Delivery leadership to understand the pipeline and forecast resource needs by skill, level, and location.
· Maintain an accurate forward‑looking resourcing forecast (4–12 weeks) and highlight risks, gaps, and excess capacity.
· Proactively manage bench, ensuring timely deployment of available staff to client or internal strategic initiatives to minimize non‑billable time.
· Identify roles that require external contractors/partners and coordinate fulfillment with Vendor Management and Talent Acquisition.
Data, Reporting, and Analytics
· Track and report utilization, billability, bench, and fulfillment SLAs for all delivery resources on a weekly and monthly basis.
· Use resourcing and BI tools (e.g., Excel, dashboards) to generate insights and recommendations for leadership.
· Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date resource profiles (skills, certifications, project history, preferences) in the central resource database.
Stakeholder and People Engagement
· Act as the primary point of contact for staffing requests from Delivery, Sales, and Practice teams.
· Partner with HR/Talent Acquisition to share skill‑gap insights, support prioritization of hiring, and provide input into workforce plans.
· Balance business needs with individual career aspirations, ensuring fair allocation and opportunities for growth and cross‑skilling.
· Support onboarding of new hires by aligning them to appropriate shadowing, billable, or internal assignments.
Governance, Process, and Continuous Improvement
· Ensure adherence to Infoya's resourcing policies, utilization targets, and approval workflows.
· Drive standardization and continuous improvement of resource management processes, tools, and reporting for the India center.
· Escalate conflicts, capacity constraints, and delivery risks to the Global Head of Delivery and relevant leaders with clear options.
· Contribute to special projects such as new practice launches, location strategy, and optimization initiatives for our delivery centers.

Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, HR, or related field.
· 6–10 years of experience in IT services/consulting with at least 3–5 years in resource management, workforce management, or delivery operations.
· Strong understanding of project‑based delivery models (T&M, fixed price, managed services) and global offshore delivery environments.
· Hands‑on experience with resource management or PSA tools, Excel, and reporting dashboards; experience with Zoho is an advantage.
· Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and identify trends in utilization, demand, and capacity.
· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing senior delivery and practice leaders.
· Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, operate under time pressure, and make trade‑off decisions in a dynamic environment.
· Solid understanding of technology skills (e.g., SAP, Java, Angular, QA/Testing, Cloud) to enable effective skill‑based matching.
· High degree of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to improving employee experience while achieving business outcomes.
· MBA is an asset.
