Resident Engineer

(Water Supply / Sewerage / Storm Water / Roads / Bridges / Building Works)

Looking for Resident Engineers:

  • Resident Engineers (Water Supply / Sewerage / Storm Water Works):04 Nos.
  • Resident Engineers (Bridge Works):02 Nos.
  • Resident Engineers (Building Works):02 Nos.

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate degree in Civil Engineering

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in construction supervision and/or Quality Control
  • Experience in urban infrastructure projects, including one or more of the following, as per project requirements:
  • Water Supply Systems
  • Sewerage Systems
  • Storm Water Drainage Systems
  • Roads
  • Bridges
  • Building Works
  • Selection of Resident Engineers shall be based on relevant experience specific to the assigned sector.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Engineer's representative at site for assigned works
  • Supervise day-to-day construction activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract conditions
  • Monitor quality control procedures and ensure adherence to relevant standards and codes
  • Inspect materials, workmanship, and construction methods for conformity with specifications
  • Review contractor's work programs, method statements, and quality assurance plans
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives for smooth execution of works
  • Identify and report technical issues, delays, and non-conformities, and assist in resolving them
  • Measure works executed and verify quantities for billing and payment certification
  • Maintain site records, registers, and daily progress reports
  • Assist in preparation of monthly progress reports and completion documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory requirements at site

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of construction supervision and quality control practices
  • Familiarity with urban infrastructure standards and specifications
  • Ability to manage site activities independently
  • Good coordination, communication, and reporting skills
