Educational Qualification:
- Graduate degree in Civil Engineering
Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in construction supervision and/or Quality Control
- Experience in urban infrastructure projects, including one or more of the following, as per project requirements:
- Water Supply Systems
- Sewerage Systems
- Storm Water Drainage Systems
- Roads
- Bridges
- Building Works
- Selection of Resident Engineers shall be based on relevant experience specific to the assigned sector.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Act as the Engineer's representative at site for assigned works
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract conditions
- Monitor quality control procedures and ensure adherence to relevant standards and codes
- Inspect materials, workmanship, and construction methods for conformity with specifications
- Review contractor's work programs, method statements, and quality assurance plans
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives for smooth execution of works
- Identify and report technical issues, delays, and non-conformities, and assist in resolving them
- Measure works executed and verify quantities for billing and payment certification
- Maintain site records, registers, and daily progress reports
- Assist in preparation of monthly progress reports and completion documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory requirements at site
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of construction supervision and quality control practices
- Familiarity with urban infrastructure standards and specifications
- Ability to manage site activities independently
- Good coordination, communication, and reporting skills
