Resident Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Resident Engineer role based in Vapi. The Resident Engineer will oversee day-to-day construction and engineering activities, including supervising site work, monitoring project progress, and ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. Responsibilities include coordinating with contractors, consultants, and client representatives, reviewing drawings and technical documents, and resolving on-site technical issues. The role also involves preparing and updating progress reports, maintaining project documentation, and supporting timely approvals and inspections. The Resident Engineer will contribute to risk mitigation, support compliance with local regulations and company policies, and help ensure successful, on-schedule project delivery.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and infrastructure projects, preferably in roads, highways, or related sectors.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in site supervision, contractor management, and quality and safety monitoring on construction projects.
• Familiarity with project coordination, documentation, and reporting using standard office and engineering tools.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work on-site in Vapi, manage multiple tasks, and make sound technical decisions under time constraints.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
• Previous experience as a Resident Engineer or similar role in consultancy or construction organizations is preferred.
