Your Role at a Glance:
As the Reservation Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the hotel's room reservations function, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and service excellence across channels. You will balance guest expectations with commercial strategy, optimising inventory, driving conversion, and supporting revenue goals. Working closely with Revenue Management, Sales, Front Office, and Marketing, you will ensure that every reservation aligns with The Imperial's luxury positioning and brand standards.
What You'll Do:
Lead and manage the reservations team to ensure prompt, accurate, and courteous handling of all room inquiries and bookings across channels.
Oversee daily reservation operations including FIT, corporate, group, travel agent, and online bookings, ensuring rate integrity and inventory control.
Collaborate closely with the Revenue Management team to implement pricing strategies, manage yield, and maximize occupancy and average daily rate.
Monitor reservation trends, pickup reports, cancellations, and no-shows, providing insights and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
Ensure correct configuration and usage of the Property Management System (Opera) and all distribution channels.
Handle complex, VIP, diplomatic, and high-profile reservations with discretion, attention to detail, and service finesse.
Coordinate with Sales and Front Office teams to ensure seamless handling of group blocks, contracts, and arrival experiences.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room types, packages, promotions, and policies to confidently guide guests and partners.
Ensure compliance with SOPs, brand standards, audit requirements, and data accuracy in all reservation records.
Train, coach, and develop the reservations team, fostering a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
Follow & execute any direction/s, orders or task assigned by any superior directly or implied from time to time.
Adhere to the service rules, norms, policies, practices and standards as laid down.
Who You Are:
A detail-oriented hospitality professional with strong leadership and organisational skills.
5 to 10 years of experience in hotel reservations or rooms operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role within luxury hospitality.
Strong understanding of revenue management principles, inventory control, and distribution channels.
Proficient in Opera PMS and familiar with CRS, GDS, and online booking platforms.
Guest-centric with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage demanding clientele with confidence and poise.
Analytical and commercially aware, capable of interpreting data to drive performance.
Calm under pressure, highly organised, and adept at managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
