Job Description

  • Oversee accuracy of room blocks, reservations, and group market codes
  • Communicate company values and culture to new employees
  • Review and implement new reservations procedures
  • Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations via phone, fax, or mail
  • Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room type
  • Verify room type availability and rate
  • Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers
  • Accommodate and document special requests
  • Answer guest questions about property facilities and accommodations
  • Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue
  • Input and access data in the reservation system
  • Respond to challenges in accommodating rooming requests
  • Set up proper billing accounts in line with accounting policies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve guest issues or escalate as needed
  • Assist management with training, scheduling, counseling, and coaching employees
  • Act as a role model and first contact in Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Ensure professional personal appearance and maintain confidentiality
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests per company standards
  • Anticipate guest service needs and respond with appreciation
  • Communicate professionally and prepare documents accurately
  • Answer phones using appropriate etiquette
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with team members
  • Comply with quality assurance standards
  • Read and verify information in various formats
  • Move, lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 10 lbs without assistance
  • Perform other duties as requested by Supervisors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year
  • Certification: None required
