Job Purpose

An exciting opportunity for an experienced R&D professional with strong background in synthetic organic chemistry to work on designing and synthesizing novel specialty components

How You Make An Impact (Job Accountabilities)

• Design and synthesis, scale of novel organic specialty molecules
• Develop and optimize synthetic processes through route development and process development
• Identify opportunities for patents and IP creation
• Maintain accurate experiment records, observations and results in the lab notebooks
• Support internal customer, competitive benchmarking of the products.
• Maintain compliance with EHS, quality and documentation standards
• Interpret complex analytical data (NMR, LCMS, GCMS, FTIR) to confirm the identity of components.
  
  

What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)

• PhD, in organic chemistry, 1-2 years of industrial experience with lubricant background preferable but not necessary or MS with min 7 years of industrial experience
  
  

Competencies Desired

• Know-how of Synthetic chemistry
• Knowledge of Spectroscopic methods like GC/LCMS/NMR/FTIR
• Knowledge of Lubricant chemistry is preferred but not necessary
• Good communication, preparing laboratory reports, good interpersonal skills.
