About the Role
Hello Study Global is seeking a passionate and research-oriented Physics Research Mentor to guide high school students (Grades 11 and 12) through the complete research journey—from identifying a research topic to preparing a manuscript for publication.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy mentoring young learners, have hands-on research experience, and can simplify complex scientific concepts for high school students. The mentor will work closely with students aspiring to strengthen their academic profiles for admissions to top universities in the USA, UK, Canada, and other leading destinations.
Researchers currently pursuing or holding a Master's degree, PhD, or postdoctoral position in Physics are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide students in identifying suitable and impactful physics research topics.
- Assist students in conducting literature reviews and understanding existing research.
- Help students develop research questions, hypotheses, and methodologies.
- Provide mentorship in data collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of findings.
- Support students in academic writing, citation practices, and manuscript preparation.
- Guide students through the process of submitting research papers to appropriate journals, conferences, or student research platforms.
- Conduct one-on-one online mentoring sessions and provide regular feedback.
- Ensure research projects maintain academic integrity and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with the admissions counseling team to align research projects with students academic interests and future goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Physics or a closely related field.
- Minimum one published research paper in a recognized journal, conference, or academic publication.
- Strong understanding of scientific research methodology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong academic writing and editing abilities.
- Ability to explain advanced concepts in a simple and engaging manner for high school students.
- Comfortable conducting online mentoring sessions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience mentoring students in research projects.
- Experience publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
- Familiarity with research tools, statistical analysis, simulation software, computational physics, or related technologies.
- Experience working with students applying to highly selective universities.
