Saint‑Gobain Research India (SGR India) is one of the Group's five hub, contributing to the development of innovative solutions aligned with Business Unit and market needs. Located at the IIT Madras Research Park, the center benefits from a dynamic ecosystem fostering collaboration with academia and innovation partners.

SGR India is seeking a Research Engineer to join the Project Management Office (PMO). The PMO supports the innovation and project lifecycle by deploying project management standards, methodologies, and tools, and by supporting Project Leaders in delivering projects aligned with business objectives and sustainability ambitions.

Role Purpose

The PMO Research Engineer provides centralized coordination, methodological and governance support across projects. The role ensures consistent application of project management practices, supports Project Leaders throughout the project lifecycle, and contributes to continuous improvement of standards, tools, and processes across Business Units.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply a range of project management methodologies (e.g., Stage‑Gate, Agile, System Engineering). Support Project Leaders in selecting/deploying the most appropriate methodology based on project needs.
  • Act as a key point of contact for Project Leaders, ensuring consistency in practices and governance. Collaborate closely with Project Leaders, Team Leaders, and R&D Portfolio Managers to align technical execution and business priorities.
  • Develop, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve project management standards, processes, and tools.
  • Deliver and coordinate training sessions on project management practices and tools.
  • Support project reviews, monitor progress, risks, and opportunities, and contribute to portfolio visibility.
  • Communicate effectively in a multicultural and industrial environment with diverse stakeholders.
  • Promote a safe working environment and comply with Saint‑Gobain Safety, Health, and Environment policies.
