Research Engineer (1-year contract), SCIS

RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position is for School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS).
• Design and implement AI for software engineering solutions.
• Conduct evaluations and/or user studies to validate the effectiveness of the algorithms and tools.
• Write and publish research papers and present them to reputable academic conferences.
• Package the documents, implementation code, evaluation results of the project for release.
• Liaise with other team members of this project to realize the overall goal of the project.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science/Information Systems.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant research experience in AI for Software Engineering research.
• Research capability as evidenced by tangible deliverables i.e., at least a first-authored papers in major (SCIS A orCORE A or CCF B) conference / journal in the field of AI or software engineering.
• Excellent knowledge about software engineering and artificial intelligence.
• Highly fluent in Python and Java.
• Competent in designing and implementing algorithms and data structures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated individual who can work independently and also collaboratively with team members.
• Able to work under strict deadlines.
• Research capability as evidenced by tangible deliverables i.e., at least a first-authored papers in major (SCIS A orCORE A or CCF B) conference / journal in the field of AI or software engineering.
