Description:
Data Analyst role within the ISG Provider Services team is expected work on various data management tasks. The Analyst is expected to collaborate with multiple teams within the larger team and help manage different internal databases working on collecting, cleaning, storing, and retrieving data.
The candidate is expected to have some exposure to ITO or BPO industry, exceptional organizational skills, English writing and speaking skills, strong data analysis and analytical skills. It would be a great add on if the candidate has some experience in performing secondary research.
Responsibilities:
- Execute customized data runs from ISG's proprietary databases to address specific internal & external client
- Collaborate with other relevant teams to work on streamlining the data collection and management processes
- Work on building a referable database using a standard template. Thoroughly understand the contracts given in the ITO and BPO services domain and populate the database with the data points available in the contracts.
- Managing the database in SQL environment by carrying out the periodic data updates and maintenance.
- Thoroughly understand the underlying data, business implications and usage of data for research and consulting deliverables
- Assist and develop excel models and automated templates to optimize the operational tasks
- Collaborate with other teams and work on data manipulation and database management tasks
- Ability and strong desire to meet deadlines and deliver quality results with minimum supervision
- Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects with aggressive deadlines
Technical Skills Required:
- 1 to 3 years of experience with a focus on data management, data analysis and research preferably in ITO and BPO industry
- Comfortable with analyzing large data sets
- Should be able to conduct ongoing data enhancement activities, including normalizing anomalies and routinely identifying relevant data points.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including but not limited to pivots, power pivot, power query, dashboards, and advanced Excel formulas.
- Hands-on experience with scraping the data from websites by using Python and / or Power Automate is preferred
- Knowledge on an open-source AI tools and the ability to utilize them for specific needs
- Write SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and process data efficiently
- Ability to locate and procure information from unstructured documents
- Ability to extract meaningful information and formulate a point of view based on extracted data, analyzing available data and filling gaps using appropriate statistical methods
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Skilled at working both independently and in a team environment
- The ability to work a flexible schedule, collaborating with both US and European regions
