This role is part of the Consumer Sciences Team in Bangalore, supporting the Consumer Products Division. The main responsibility is to manage consumer testing and help develop and defend strong, impactful product claims. The role involves close collaboration with R&D, Legal, and Marketing teams to ensure claims are backed by solid research and consumer insights.
Candidates with experience in product research, testing, and claims substantiation will be preferred.
- Supports the creation of claims and claim support plans through various approaches, preparing claims briefs and claims dossiers for innovation projects
- Supports/Conduct proof of concept studies (PoC) using subjective and objective evaluation methods - with good knowledge of various instrumental evaluation methodologies ( Corneometer, Sebumeter, Tewameter, Diastron, Hair fall and, Oral care Testing)
- Support in coordinating consumer studies - qualitative and quantitative research
- Reviewing of Artwork and technical content for other forms of communication (TV, print advertisement etc.)
- Competition benchmarking and insights- analysis of trends, consumer needs, new technology
- Review historical market, consumer and sensory data to help identify opportunities for superior products and claims, providing the R&D and Marketing teams with clear guidance on how to deliver these.
- Interpretation of complex data for concise, clear conclusions and communication to a variety of audiences (e.g. marketing, R&D, external)
- Ability to garner insights and inference out of technical documents like Clinical Report and In Vitro reports to substantiate claims technically.
Educational Qualification - Masters level qualification in science (e.g. cosmetics, biotechnology, chemistry, consumer psychology)
Experience- 2 to 3 years in Consumer science/CTI/consumer insight or product development
