About the Role
We are looking for a Research Associate to join our Executive Search and Recruitment team. The role is ideal for someone who is curious, analytical and passionate about understanding talent markets and identifying the right professionals for specialised roles.
The Research Associate will work closely with our consulting team on candidate research, talent mapping, market intelligence, candidate screening and recruitment coordination, while also supporting business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Candidate Research
- Understand client requirements and job specifications in consultation with the consulting team.
- Conduct extensive candidate research through LinkedIn, Naukri and other relevant databases and platforms.
- Identify and shortlist potential candidates based on role requirements, qualifications, experience and organisational fit.
- Review and analyse candidate profiles and CVs to assess suitability.
- Maintain an active pipeline of relevant candidates for current and future mandates.
2. Talent Mapping & Market Intelligence
- Conduct talent mapping exercises across industries, organisations, functions and geographies.
- Identify key professionals and leadership talent within target organisations.
- Research industry trends, talent movements, organisational structures and market developments.
- Develop and maintain talent databases and market intelligence reports.
- Support the consulting team with insights that strengthen search strategies and candidate identification.
3. Recruitment Coordination
- Coordinate with candidates and clients to schedule interviews and discussions.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Track interview schedules, feedback and candidate status.
- Assist in reference checks, background verification and other pre-employment processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate updating of candidate and mandate information in the recruitment system/ATS.
4. Job Description & Recruitment Content
- Work with consultants to prepare clear, accurate and engaging Job Descriptions.
- Assist in posting job advertisements across relevant recruitment platforms.
- Support the preparation of candidate briefs, search reports and other recruitment-related documents.
5. Business Development Support
- Conduct research to identify prospective clients and organisations.
- Support client acquisition initiatives through database development, market research and cold calling.
- Identify potential business opportunities and relevant decision-makers.
- Assist the consulting team in preparing client presentations, proposals and market intelligence reports.
6. Database & Process Management
- Maintain accurate and updated candidate and client records.
- Ensure timely data entry and status updates in the ATS/recruitment database.
- Maintain confidentiality of candidate and client information.
- Follow internal recruitment processes, quality standards and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Graduate or Post-Graduate degree from a reputed college or university.
- 0–3 years of experience in recruitment, executive search, research, consulting, business research or a related field. Freshers with strong analytical and communication skills are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good research and analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Naukri or other online recruitment platforms will be an advantage.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work with multiple assignments and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable communicating with candidates and professionals at different levels.
