About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled PCB Technician to join our hardware engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, soldering, testing, and repairing printed circuit boards used in Cypherock's secure hardware products. You will work closely with the hardware engineers to support prototype development and production activities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform soldering and desoldering of through-hole and SMD components (including fine-pitch ICs).
- Assemble and rework PCBs according to design specifications and engineering instructions.
- Conduct board-level debugging and basic electrical testing using tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Identify and repair faults in PCB assemblies.
- Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and workstations in the hardware lab.
- Assist in preparing and verifying prototype builds before production runs.
- Document rework, test results, and repair logs accurately.
Requirements- Minimum 1 year of experience in PCB soldering, assembly, and repair.
- Strong soldering and rework skills with both SMD and through-hole components.
- Familiarity with electronic test instruments (multimeter, oscilloscope, hot air gun, reflow oven, etc.).
- Basic understanding of electronic circuits and PCB layouts.
- Proficient in using a computer for documentation and communication.
- Ability to follow engineering instructions and work independently with attention to detail.
- Diploma in Electronics or related field preferred.
Good to Have- Experience working with prototypes and small-batch hardware builds.
- Knowledge of ESD handling and lab safety procedures.
- Exposure to embedded hardware development environments.
