We have a requirement for Food Innovation & Development Executive for Isha Life. Please find below the Job details:
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead formulation & optimisation across a wide portfolio (energy bars, porridge/dosa mixes, trail mixes, honey variants, A2 ghee, ladoos, snacks, chocolates, RTD/RTÉ formats).
- Develop, run and document lab → pilot trials for listed products (date-sweetened cookies, herbal teas, amla/ginger/creamed honey, ash-gourd powder, seed crackers, instant sprouted RTÉ, ragi/cacao RTD, single-origin chocolate, instant sundal, etc.).
- Coordinate co-packers, ingredient suppliers, incubation centres and labs to deliver samples, align processes and meet timelines.
- Plan and analyse sensory work (internal panels + limited consumer trials) and convert feedback into clear formulation/process changes.
- Ensure clean-label integrity, FSSAI compliance, basic shelf-life checks and hand over commercial-ready dossiers (formulation sheets, process flows, trial reports).
- Frequent travel to plants/co-packers/farms for trials, commissioning and on-ground resolution.
Skills/Competencies Required:
- 2–3 segments of hands-on product dev (e.g., bakery/snacks, traditional mixes, confectionery, beverages, health foods, dairy).
- Solid food science (cereals, millets, fats, sugars/alternatives, nuts/seeds, herbs, functional ingredients) and practical unit-ops (mixing, roasting, extrusion, baking, milling, dehydration, filling).
- Designable lab trials + ability to translate to pilot/commercial scale; run basic analyses (moisture, fat, microbiology) and interpret results.
- Clean-label strategies, natural sweeteners, recipe adaptation into stable RTÉ/RTS/RTD formats.
- Sensory methods (hedonic, triangle tests, benchmarking), spreadsheet/documentation fluency, and regulatory familiarity (FSSAI)
