Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute experiments in the R&D pilot plant.
- Perform metallurgical reaction balancing and process-related calculations.
- Analyze, interpret, and manage experimental and plant trial data.
- Demonstrate and explain plant trial procedures to production team.
- Support plant trials, scale-up activities, and technology transfer to production.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret operating data from plant trials.
- Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Marketing, Procurement, and Maintenance teams.
- Assist in process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, reports, and records.
- Conduct SOP and safety training for operating personnel in the R&D pilot plant.
Qualifications
- B. Tech / B.E. /M Tech/M.E. in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering.
Preferred Skills
- Strong aptitude and interest in R&D-based process development.
- Strong fundamentals in Process Metallurgy and Physical Metallurgy.
- Sound understanding of metallurgical thermodynamics and kinetics.
- Proficiency in slag–metal reactions and process chemistry.
- Practical knowledge of phase diagrams and Ellingham diagrams.
- Experience in data interpretation and root cause analysis.
- Working knowledge of XRD and XRF analytical techniques.
- Proficiency in data handling, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience and Relevant Industry
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in R&D – Process Metallurgy. Freshers can also apply
