Role Overview
We are looking for an R&D Executive with hands-on experience in epoxy systems to develop and optimize formulations for adhesives, coatings, and related applications. The role involves lab-scale development, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
Formulation Development
- Develop and optimize epoxy-based formulations for adhesives, coatings, and composites
- Select appropriate resins, hardeners, fillers, and additives
- Work on improving adhesion, curing behavior, and performance properties
Testing & Analysis
- Conduct laboratory testing such as viscosity, gel time, pot life, curing profile, tensile strength, and hardness
- Analyze results and ensure products meet quality and performance standards
- Use instruments like DSC, TGA, and other analytical tools (if applicable)
Troubleshooting & Support
- Identify and resolve formulation and application issues
- Support production scale-up and pilot trials
- Troubleshoot problems related to curing, compatibility, and process parameters
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and maintain TDS, MSDS, SOPs, and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Production, QC, and Technical Services teams
- Support customer queries and application trials when required
Key Skills & Requirements
- Strong knowledge of epoxy chemistry and polymer systems
- Hands-on experience in formulation development and lab testing
- Understanding of curing mechanisms and material compatibility
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in documentation and reporting
