Role Description
We are looking for a skilled FTTH Product Support & R&D Engineer to join our growing technical team. The ideal candidate will support advanced FTTH product issues, work closely with vendors, assist in firmware development, and help enhance our FTTH devices with new innovations.
Location: Koothattukulam & Kottayam.
Key Responsibilities
- Bug Reporting, Clearing & Vendor Collaboration:Handle serious technical complaints and work with vendors for immediate resolution. Assist in developing new firmware and bug fixes. Attend critical on-site issues when required. Work to reduce device failure rate to below 1% annually.
- Feature Enhancement & Product Innovation:Collaborate with vendors and industry partners on FTTH innovations. Develop new FTTH product features (ONT/OLT improvements) annually. Improve FTTH product performance by 10% (speed / latency / throughput).
- License Key Handling:Update license keys accurately as per department requests. Zero-error policy in license key updation.
- Quality Testing:Ensure 95% success rate in FTTH prototype testing. Conduct performance and stability testing with detailed reporting.
- Problem Diagnosis:Analyse ISP-reported issues and provide optimal solutions based on case history. Support field teams in troubleshooting and technical resolutions.
Requirements
- Experience/knowledge in FTTH, ONT/OLT, GPON/EPON technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication & vendor coordination abilities.
- Willing to attend critical field issues when needed.
- Experience in firmware testing/debugging
Qualification& Skills
- B.Tech in ECE/IT
- CCNA/CCNP
