Role Overview
The Research Associate will support investment decision-making through rigorous financial analysis, market research, and portfolio strategy development. This role requires close collaboration with internal research teams and key stakeholders to evaluate, structure, and optimize investment solutions across multiple asset classes.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Research & Analysis
- Conduct detailed financial and market analysis to support informed investment decisions.
- Research and evaluate investment products including Mutual Funds, PMS, Bonds, and alternative investments.
- Track macroeconomic and microeconomic indicators and assess their impact on portfolios.
- Remain current with market developments, regulations, and industry best practices.
Portfolio Strategy & Monitoring
- Design customized investment strategies aligned with client risk profiles and financial objectives.
- Implement strategic asset allocation to optimize returns while managing risk.
- Review portfolio performance and recommend rebalancing or corrective measures as needed.
- Monitor key financial metrics and evolving market conditions on an ongoing basis.
Financial Modelling & Documentation
- Prepare comprehensive financial proposals, projections, and investment plans.
- Collaborate on financial models for client-specific and strategic initiatives.
- Develop clear and structured reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Client & Business Support
- Work closely with relationship managers and research teams to strengthen client portfolios.
- Support business development efforts and assist in servicing HNI/UHNI clients.
- Review client investment needs in response to market shifts, economic changes, or life events.
- Communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and simple manner to non-financial audiences.
- Share market intelligence and competitive insights with management to enhance service offerings.
Qualifications & Eligibility
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CFP, or MBA (Finance) are preferred.
- NISM VA and NISM Series XXI certifications will be an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, with good working knowledge of PowerPoint, Canva and Word.
- Experience with financial research tools and software.
- Excellent English speaking and written skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to build long-term relationships using a consultative approach.
