We are looking for a detail-oriented Research Analyst who can support our leadership team with structured research, market mapping, and CRM data management. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep-dive research, synthesising information, and working directly with founders on high-priority projects.

You will work across investor intelligence research, competitor insights, CRM enrichment, and preparation of concise briefing documents for strategic conversations. The role requires strong analytical ability, curiosity, and reliability in daily execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structured research on companies, teams, and market segments.

• Build and maintain curated lists of key ecosystem players using predefined criteria.

• Analyse sectors, funding trends, product landscapes, and strategic moves.

• Manage and update CRM data using tools such as Foundersuite, Affinity, and Google Sheets.

• Gather and organise information from LinkedIn, Crunchbase, Apollo, industry reports, and public sources.

• Prepare short briefs for internal meetings and discussions.

• Track competitor activities and summarise weekly insights.

• Assist in preparing data-backed notes, summaries, and documentation for the leadership team.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• 0.6–2 years experience in research, consulting, operations, market intelligence, or similar roles.

• Strong ability to search, filter, and interpret information from multiple sources.

• Comfort working with structured workflows, spreadsheets, and CRM tools.

• Familiarity with any of the following is a plus:

• Foundersuite / Affinity

• Crunchbase / Tracxn / Apollo

• Hunter.io / Clearbit

• Notion & Google Workspace

• Strong written English and ability to summarise information clearly.

• Ability to work with high attention to detail and meet daily/weekly output goals.

Role Description

This contract role as a remote Research Analyst focuses on supporting startup operations, market intelligence, and customer relationship management (CRM). Responsibilities include conducting in-depth market research, analyzing data, identifying trends, and generating insights for strategic decision-making. The role also involves collaborating with the team to improve operational processes and supporting CRM activities to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Analytical Skills and Statistics to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Strong Communication skills to effectively present findings and collaborate with team members across various functions.
• Experience in Market Research and Research to gather, analyze, and report on industry trends and customer behavior.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated individual capable of working independently in a remote environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Familiarity with CRM tools and processes and prior experience in a startup or education technology environment is an advantage.
