Role Purpose
The Research Analyst will drive data-led decisions for building and scaling a staffing industry platform. You will research market dynamics, talent supply–demand trends, competitor landscapes, and client need to inform product strategy, go-to-market plans, and platform features.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market & Industry Research
- Conduct primary and secondary research on global and regional staffing trends, hiring patterns, and workforce dynamics.shine+1
- Analyze talent supply–demand gaps by role, industry, geography, and skill set.
- Track emerging HR tech innovations, automation tools, and platform business models in the staffing ecosystem.
2. Competitive Intelligence & Benchmarking
- Map competitors including job portals, staffing firms, RPOs, and HR tech platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Naukri, Indeed, Hirect, Apna, etc.).
- Benchmark pricing models, product features, user experience, and GTM strategies of leading platforms.
- Maintain structured competitive intelligence dashboards for leadership and product teams.
3. Data Analysis & Insights Generation
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from internal sources and external APIs (e.g., job boards, LinkedIn, government labor data).betterteam+1
- Identify market gaps, growth opportunities, and high-potential talent clusters by industry and location.
- Convert complex data into actionable insights for product roadmap, sales strategy, and marketing campaigns.shine+1
4. Stakeholder Advisory & Storytelling
- Collaborate closely with product, sales, marketing, and leadership teams to present insights through reports, dashboards, and presentations.nextinhr+1
- Influence platform feature prioritization, pricing strategy, and market entry decisions with data-backed recommendations.
- Develop clear, compelling narratives that translate data into business impact.
5. Research Design & Execution
- Design and execute primary research including surveys, interviews, and focus groups with employers, candidates, and HR leaders.nextinhr+1
- Build frameworks for continuous market tracking and intelligence generation (e.g., monthly talent reports, hiring trend dashboards).
- Ensure research methodologies are rigorous, ethical, and compliant with data protection standards.
