Job Description For The Role Of Research Analyst
The role of the Research Analyst is to discover, study, track & communicate good investment ideas in sync with the value investment-oriented philosophy at PPFAS Mutual Fund.
The role demands curiosity, ability to connect dots across various data points, analyse the potential for the opportunity & have the ability to value the opportunity.
What Is Expected From You
- Have some understanding or orientation to the value investing style of investing
- Study the business / industry across multiple cycles
- Do on the ground & not just desk work of any business / industry
- Sift through & understand financial reports, industry data, the peer group & other relevant data sources
- Analyse Financial Statements
- Value businesses across various valuation techniques
- Build Qualitative understanding of the business & the people running the business to make sense of the narrative & the numbers
- Ability to critically evaluate information.
- Build & update financial models of the businesses under coverage
- Build working relationships with the analyst / investment community (buy side & sell side) to learn & share experiences.
- Regularly communicate investment ideas with the investment team
- We also expect our team members to invest in our products and align their investments with that of our unitholders.
Good To Have
Sector understanding or experience in tracking Healthcare, Pharma, Chemicals, Oil and Gas

Qualifications
Educational credentials which give you the skills required to perform the role like - CA, CFA (US), MBA (Finance) are preferred
Experience - 1 – 4 years of relevant work experience
