Job Title: Research Analyst - BFSI
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Research Analyst to join our BFSI team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth financial analysis, risk assessment, and due diligence to support informed lending decisions. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Analysis: Review and interpret financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements), tax returns, and credit reports to assess the financial health of clients.
- Risk Assessment: Perform in-depth risk analysis using financial ratios, trends, and industry benchmarks to determine borrower repayment capacity and identify potential risks.
- Report Generation: Prepare detailed, objective, and clear reports and recommendations for submission to senior management, highlighting key findings and insights.
- Due Diligence: Conduct background checks and verify information to uncover potential fraud or discrepancies in client documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including:
- Business Development (BD) Team: to facilitate a smooth process and ensure that all necessary information is gathered.
- Edit Team: to review and refine reports and other deliverables.
- Design Team: to create visually appealing and effective reports and presentations.
- Data Teams: to leverage data insights and analytics to inform risk assessment and decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a research or analysis role, preferably in the BFSI sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with financial modeling, data analysis, and risk assessment tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards in the BFSI sector.
- Certification in credit analysis, risk management, or a related field.
