Job Profile:

• Report, write, and publish news stories for TNIE.com with speed and accuracy
• Cover assigned beats, breaking news, and developing stories across regions
• Generate original story ideas and produce exclusive, impactful content
• File clean, well-structured copy adhering to editorial standards and deadlines
• Track trending topics and adapt coverage for digital and social platforms
• Coordinate with the editorial desk for story planning, editing, and publishing
• Incorporate multimedia elements (photos, videos, social embeds) where relevant
• Maintain strong ethical standards, fact-checking, and verification practices

Desired Profile:

• 3–4 years of experience in digital reporting with a recognised news media organisation
• Strong news sense and understanding of the digital news ecosystem
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines in a 24/7 newsroom environment
• Familiarity with CMS platforms, analytics tools, and social media publishing
• Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure breaking news situations
• Prior experience covering regional or national beats is an advantage

Experience:

3-4 years of experience in the Newspapers or Television industries

Qualification:

The candidate should have a Master's in Journalism / Mass Communication / English Literature / Political Science with Strong English-language skills.
