MAVI partners with fast-growing US startups and SMEs, embedding high-performing accounting professionals directly into their finance teams. We are hiring experienced accountants in India who want to work closely with US stakeholders, lead critical accounting processes, and grow into future finance leaders.
This is not a traditional back-office accounting role. You will work directly with US Controllers, CFOs, and founders while managing core accounting operations for scaling businesses.
What You'll Do
- Manage end-to-end accounting operations for US-based clients
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Review financial statements and ensure US GAAP compliance
- Handle reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting
- Work on AP, AR, GL accounting, journal entries, and close activities
- Collaborate directly with US finance teams and stakeholders
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
- Mentor junior accountants and support team development
- Ensure audit readiness and support external audits
- Work with ERP/accounting systems like NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience working with NetSuite and/or QuickBooks
- Prior experience handling US accounting processes
- Team handling or mentoring experience preferred
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with US clients is a plus
- CA / CPA preferred
