About Ruvimo

We're looking for passionate Physics & Chemistry Tutors for higher-grade students who can make complex scientific concepts easier to understand, connect theory to the real world, and help students become confident problem-solvers.

- Organic chemistry fundamentals
- Laboratory concepts and scientific reasoning
As a Ruvimo Science Tutor, you will:
- Conduct engaging 1:1 online Physics and/or Chemistry sessions with middle and high school students in the US.
- Build strong conceptual foundations before moving into advanced problem-solving.
- Break down complex scientific concepts into clear, logical and relatable explanations.
- Help students understand the why behind formulas, equations and scientific principles.
- Guide students through numerical problems and teach effective problem-solving strategies.
- Use diagrams, demonstrations, simulations, examples and real-world applications to make concepts easier to visualize.
- Help students interpret graphs, equations, experimental data and scientific representations.
- Support students with schoolwork, assignments, projects, assessments and exam preparation.
- Identify learning gaps and adapt your teaching approach accordingly.
- Encourage students to ask questions, form hypotheses and think scientifically.
- Provide constructive feedback and track student progress.
You could be a great fit if you:
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Chemistry, Science, Engineering, Education or a related field.
- Have prior experience teaching or tutoring middle school or high school students.
- Have strong conceptual knowledge of your subject.
- Can confidently solve and explain grade-appropriate numerical and conceptual problems.
- Can explain difficult scientific concepts without making them unnecessarily complicated.
- Have excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Are comfortable teaching students from the US curriculum or are willing to learn it.
- Can use real-world examples to make science relevant and engaging.
- Are comfortable using technology for online teaching.
- Have a stable internet connection and a professional teaching setup.
- Most importantly, enjoy working with students and helping them discover how things work.
We're not looking for someone who simply knows the formulas or can solve the equation for the student.
